Flight Sim Commander and FSACARS was created by Westcoast
It appears that running FS Commander with FSX causes FSACARS to crash when you attempt to start the Log. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

I run FSC8.1 with FSX and I connect it with ACARS and it all works...except it will not copy the route of flight. You must go to "Flight Plan" and open "Show Plan". Then the route will show at the bottom of the flight plan box. Then copy and paste it to the Route section of ACARS (page 34 under "Route vs legs").

This always works for me.

It must be that clean life you've led. If I have FSC8.1 running when I start FSACARS, it crashes when I push the "start log" button. With FSC8.1 closed, FSACARS runs OK. We may never know....

I run two monitors with my setup...FSX on one and FSC on the other > with a vid card that has two outputs.

You might try reading thru page 15 of the FSC manual. Don't know if any of that info will help your problem. If not, then go to the FSC forum and post a note and see if anyone has an answer for you...it may have happened to someone else before.

I think I broke the code. If you start FSC8.1 before starting FSACARS, you have to connect FSC to FSX before starting FSACARS. Well, at least that seems to work. :-) Now if I could just find out how trying - unsuccessfully -to install FS Live Traffic made all my traffic go away, I'd be in hog heaven. Thanks for the help.

Hi Mike,

I have not tried FSACARS with FSC8.1 so far. I can understand the error as they both depend share FSUIPC's resources.

One odd thing I have found with FSACARS is that I can not use Snapper when using FSACARS. My FSACARS just crashes. it has do with FSUIPC conflicts. However, I will try to change the order I start applications as you have mentioned above.
