2d panel can be found from the menu>views>inside or aircraft something like that. I do not know the hotkey for it yet. There are several other views in there which can be changed by using the 's' key but the cockpit one is either 2d or 3d only. I also noticed there was an AI plane listed there in the view menu. This is the view from the AI aircraft, similar to tower view.

There is also an option in the menu>options>aircraft for default cockpit view either 3d or 2d.

Jerry, I saw your picture with the textures problem. I also get that if I have that 'aircraft casts shadows on itself' option enabled. This is great option but I think it is in its preliminary stage on this demo. Hopefully, it will be better on the release version.

I agree with you regarding the water taxi. I also have my AA reduced to 4x and AF set to 8x. That helped a lot.

Have a great day Jerry.

Great pics Steve Asp.

In default panel mode right click mouse and click on cockpit and you should get the 2D panel.

OK i have played around with this long enough now to know that a lot of our guys are haveing problems, you are not on your one i cant get the BRAKE message to go away.

I have tried a few things from folks on the AVSIM forums but to know avail.

Will wait for a while before i decided to by this product, i know it is only a work in progress demo so you can ezcept a few things to go wrong.

On the plus side i do like the new LOG BOOK and the WEATHER.

See you all Saturday.

Dave

By the way the Beaver is a blast

Sorry to hear that Alfred, I too was very disappointed in the beginning but after tweaking around, I must say that I'm on a satisfactory level now.

Dave, I read that about the brakes message too. I'm not having that problem at all. Very strange.

I decided to add FS9 aircraft and see how it felt. It was awesome. Good to know that some of my FS9 aircraft are still flyable in FSX.

To see alpha channel textures of FS9 aircraft in FSX, you need to copy and paste the envmap.bmp file from the texture to FSX/texture folder.

That's it.

See you Sat too.

Just installed Alpha Sims Caribou into FSX and it seems to run ok, i think it flys better and the sound is great.

Maxed out the sliders and got good frame rates 20/30 not bad.

I cant understand the frame rates i am getting with my set up, look forward to the full version.

Delux off corse.
