Ok, I installed it on my machine. When I fired it up, I was so disappointed that my frame rates were very poor but after some tweaking around, I managed to get descent frame rates usually 20+ at TNCM airport and its surroundings.
I have to tell you that the water effect is frame rate killer. Just set it to mid level and you should be ok.
I was relieved that at least the default planes run fine on my machine. Will have to wait and see, and I'm almost pretty sure that my machine can't handle the payware add-ons.
I have 3.4 Northwood Pentium 4, 1 GB of DDR RAM, ATI Radeon X800XT Pro 256MB AGP machine, SATA drive (7200 RPM 16MB cache running at 1.5Gb/s). NO DUAL core for me yet.
Some pics of my first flight in FSX demo:

Please let me know how it runs on your machine too.
Few thoughts that I must mention:
1.The sea plane acts really well on water. No need maximum power to maneuver on water.
2. You need to get used to the views (2d & 3d cockpit, spot, aircraft, tower etc).
3. It does not pause the sim, when you hit alt to goto menu.
4.My track IR does not work with it!!!
Overall, I'm very pleased with it.
Thanks.

Thanks for posting the FSX shots Naresh.
They look pretty good to these old and tired eyes.
Does one need to join "GameSpot" (or whatever it's called) to get the Demo?
Thanks...take care

Loved the shot with the moon reflecting on the water. Does it come with AI traffic more like the
payware versions.
Also, you know my machine. Is there any point in me getting FSX?

Guys,
Check the link provided above. It is from microsoft.com not from anyother places like gamespot or simflight.
Steve, yes there is AI traffic.
when I was doing Dawn flight, I saw one Baron58 on the ground too.
Steve, you just have to try installing the demo version on your machine and see how it runs.
Will fly more today.
