tbone - I don't think it has anything to do with the APU bleed valve being open. You need that to start the engines initially. I think you failed to switch over from the battery to the generator when you started your engines. You might have drained the batteries. I'm just guessing because I am not familiar with your new panel.
If you want a good Boeing 737 simulation, I would suggest looking into getting the <a href="www.feelthere.com/2005/737.htm">Boeing 737 PIC. 8-)

AAAHHHH!!!! I must be doing something wrong in the start-up!!! i tried a flight with engines running at the start of the flight...no problem!!! I arrive at my destination - liverpool - and i shut down my engines...everything off...no power what so ever!! I then start her up again going throught everything...making sure to switch power to the generators, switch off the APU!!! i headed for stansted but, 20/30 mins into flight!! autopilot fails, radio fails, cockpit lighting fails!!! It would seem that there is some electrical fault but i am getting no warning????
I have looked a bit at that PIC model but two things would put me off getting it!! first i would prefer a 700, 800 or a 900 model and secondly and more importantly i'm slow to buy a complicated payware product at the moment because i go back to school next week and then i wont have time to really get to know the ins and outs of it!! if i could get this panel to work it would do me grand!!!
Of course i could just forget about starting it up myself!!
