I know several people have tried FSACARS with FSX. Did you have any problems getting FSUIPC4 installed and working OK? Peter Dowson's website has a warning about problems between FSUIPC4 and FSX due to firewall/privacy software.

I installed it last week and haven't had a problem. After you install it and start FSX, you will get a popup asking if you want to use the file with FSX.
No problems here.

I also have used FSACARS with FSX and I do not recall having any problem.

Accordings to Dowson's site, the issue is FSUIPC4 and Vista. I need FSUIPC4 to support FSACARS, so that's the rub. I suppose I'll have to screw up my courage and try installing it to see what happens. I'll wait until I'm feeling lucky.

I just flew a flight with FSX and ACARS worked and transmitted the PIREP just fine.
I do have FSUIPC4 installed...no problems.
