FS9 Failures Problem was created by k5yrf
I have problems with FS9 in that fairly often I get a electrical system failure for no apparent reason. I reset it, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If I reinstall the airplane it sometimes works ok after that, but it sure is a bother to have to keep doing that over and over.

Is there any way to completely disable the aircraft failures system?

Thanks ahead for any help you can give. Jim k5yrf

Jim,

I think the generators were turned off. Try turning them on and see if it helps.

Which aircraft were you flying?

Jim,
On the create a flight page, click on Failures click on Systems and check that all the boxes are clear.

Check all the others as well

Not sure how Jim is posting here but I'm getting all his replies to my inbox.

Here is what he has to say:

Dave, I think I mentioned all that before and that doesn't seem to be the root of the evil.

I am trying to locate someone that knows how to get into the guts of the program and eliminate the entire section of flight failures. I can uncheck that %%$$#@ box dozens of times and it still will re-check it in short order.

Jim,

Stupid question, are you opening a saved flight or are you creating a new flight?

It doesnt seem to matter. Let's just drop this for now please. I tried all morning to repeat the problem and it flew flawlessly.
