The download was scheduled to happen overnight, which it did. I was surprised that it was only 532.5 MB:

After I installed the game in Steam, I selected play and after entering my Microsoft account information, was informed that additional downloads would be required totaling just over 91 GB. At first, I didn't really get any information while this massive download is happening other than a progress bar at the bottom:

After waiting several minutes, the actual install started:

I'll have to let this do its thing and check back after work unfortunately. The wait continues!

edited by: SPA118, Aug 18, 2020 - 07:54 AM

We're up and running and this new simulator is BEAUTIFUL! I have graphics set to medium at the moment and it is flawless. It does use a constant stream of data from your network to update the scenery here and there, so you have to keep that in mind. You can turn this off but the scenery isn't as detailed if you do. I managed to fly around my hometown and even over my house and where I work and it is all accurate (as accurate as Bing and Google maps).

That's great Eric!
I might have to move up my schedule for purchase.
