Just Amazing !

Just six weeks ago I was asking you to congratulate Alfred Jones on his promotion to Senior Captain. Well, in the last six weeks Alfred has flown 200 hours. That's about 5 hours a day and all the Cat 6 flights out of Dullles, plus a whole bunch of charter flights. Accordingly he has been promoted to Vice Fleet Captain and now gets to fly the Really BIG aircraft. This will allow him to accumulate hours even faster and, at his current pace, he will soon be among the most senior pilots at SPA. I haven't asked Alfred how he manages to fly so much (I do know what would happen if I tried that - my wife's patience does have its limits) and he hasn't volunteered any explanation except to say 'that's what I do' (or words to that effect). No kidding!

Alfred should be buying two rounds for everyone at the pub tonight. That is if we can get him out of the cockpit.

I try to fly as much as I can, but some months just seem shorter than others. Sometimes I just seem too overwhelmed, what with work, family, online flights, studying ATC and the processing of new pilots that I have to take care of. But seeing what you have accomplished in the past 6 weeks really inspires me. It's pilots like you that make St. Paul Airlines the BEST virtual airline around, period.

I want to thank you for your outstanding dedication to our little V.A. and encourage you to keep up the outstanding work!
