Ok...last update for a while (I hope). I've added V 4.4 This makes a few more minor changes - preventing several checks of fsx until fsx is 'ready to fly' for 5 seconds ie. Not in a menu, not paused, and not busy in other fsx user dialogues.
These latest updates should hopefully prevent the freeze or disconnect issues. If not we can take another look at it - and I can always try installing windows 10.

Ok Couple of things One is reloading aircraft after flight started SPAACARS dose not like. Also found out if you pause and the computer goes to sleep when you wake it up SPAACARS has lost connect with Flight sim. So it just stuck there not know what to do 
So when I'm Flying will have to turn the sleep mode off in cause I'm away to long. Just Completed a Flight and everything worked great.
One question do we we need to update our copy of SPAAACARS. Hope this Helps

Great that you've figured things out Jim. Yikes...I'm sure it's not a good idea to have your computer go to sleep during a flight and probably won't try to account for that. I recommend turning sleep mode off and make sure that you have your power settings on high performance.
Yes you should probably use the latest version of SPAACARS (V 4.4) because then we're all on the same page regarding what might or might not be happening if there's a problem, and it has dealt with all known possible issues at this point.
While the latest versions try to address that menu switching in FSX, it is certainly not a good idea changing aircraft during flight because that can also really mess up the settings of what SPAACARS had initialized about your plane when SPAACARS starts up running.
