I am scared to buy FSX. I am running a P4 2.2 GHX system with 1GB RAMBUS RAM, and a 128 MG NVIDIA GE FORCE 6600 Graphics Card. Now when I was at WAL MART and read the specs of FSX, I definately had way more than what the minimum was, but I don't want to buy it and have the sliders all the way down. I want them at least 3/4 to full like I have in FS9. Any recommendations? I really don't want to buy a new PC yet, but any of this I can upgrade I will.

Futuremark has a game advisor that tells you if your system meets the minimum requirements. Check out this web site called <a href="gameadvisor.futuremark.com/gameadvisor/service/">Windows Game Advisor.

Davo: I think your system is right on the edge for FSX. You could buy it now and try it out, but you will have to make sacrifices, either by tweaks that limit scenery, or by sliders to the left. Probably both.
Everything I've read is it will work well enough on a 3+ mhz system with 2G ram and 512 Mg vid card.

I have 2.8 with 1 G ram and 256 mg vid card and I have some sliders low, a couple far right, and three pretty significant tweaks in place.

You can buy it now and upgrade later or wait a while for Vista and DX10 and spend some of that hard earned money then. I have a hunch you may be dissapointed in it now.

Yeah I think I will wait. I ran the scan on Bob's link and it says I should be able to run the game quite well., but I read the reveiws and people that have a awesome system still can't play the game with ultra high settings. Maybe I can get one of the duel core processing type machines next year. We'll see! I have to take the family back to Maui in February! This time the kids and inlaws are going! WOO HOO!

Davo... As of now and the latest I've read, Dual core is no help...Something about not getting both to work,,,Wait for them to fix some of the hardware and be patient as the new DX10 cards will be pricy....In a few months, I'd suggest you talk to Naresh and see what he thinks will work for you,,,He's always the best one that I know of to go to when it comes to performance and price.....
