My Dell 8100 also passed the compatibility test with flying colors, but I know what it takes to get the best frame rate now in FS9. However, FSX is a different program that demands a lot more from a PC. So, the question is - how do we get he best performance out of FSX? What settings do we use? The following article from the FSInfo web site might help you with some ideas. Link-> <a href="www.fsinsider.com/About/Learning-Center-...-and-Performance.htm">Optimizing Visuals. I hope this helps. I will looking for more ideas and share them with you when I find something.

Hi guys. I've got a Dell XPS400, duel core 2.8hgz chips, 2 gig of ram, and a brand spanken new NvIdia 7950GTKO PCIe from eVGA with 512meg of ram on it. It just replaced the "stock" 7300LE that came with it; and what a difference. I'll post some actual specs and pics soon, but she runs GREAT! 20fpm locked, with most sliders either all the way to the right, or mid to right. Also duel monitors. LIke I said, I'll post some pics later today with the specifics. Thing is, just like when 2002 came out, some systems ran it fine, some couldn't run it worth crap; and usually, it was the same system spec! I think it how you keep your system "cleaned up" also plays a huge role...so keep those back ups, and defrag frequent!

Hi Guys
I'm not going to be a lot of help at the moment evaluating aircraft in FSX as my computer won't run it. After doing a scan, it tells me that 60% of computers scanned are faster than mine. I can run the demo after a fashion, but a new PC for me I think. Been looking at the Dell XPS700, which adds up to nearly $4500 NZD. Better start and save my pennies. I will keep an eye out here and add the FSX icon to the aircraft at the downloads pages as others test them. Can anyone also let me know if there are any tweaks to do to the aircraft.cfg file to get them to show in FSX.
Thanks Naresh for finishing the AI aircraft. I'm off to get them now.

Greetings all. I've tested our B1900 in FSX with decent results. The B1900 in our new colors flies reasonalby ok...the handling is a little quirky on taxi; but just like the Beach King Air; very touchy on the trottle. Once in the air, she handles nicely. I did notice the landing gear and cockpit tetures are black/grey; this could be an issue with the type of texture and FSX. Landing lights are NOT visible in exterior mode, but can be seen, BRIGHTLY from within the cockpit. You have to set the installer to instal to a temp directory, then manually copy it to your fsx simobjects/aircraft directory.
The PMDG bird handles great in FSX. PMDG has posted a link on how to install into FSX. Took me about 10 mins, not to hard, but you do have to add a few lines in the Acft.cfg file. Textures all work great in both day and night; however the same landing light issue not being seen from the exterior of the aircraft remain the same. Inside though, they show up great. Pics posted.
Also tested our Saab340. As stated before, you need to install it into a temp directory, then copy the folder to your FSX /simobjects/Airplane directory. Everything seems to work ok; same goofy taxiing issue as the 1900; all the lights seem to work from within the cockpit, but the landing and taxi lights do not show up in exterior view. Other than that, it works out great!
