All,

I came across a solution for the screwy flap problems that have came with the latest MSFS update.  Its a pretty easy fix.  Navigate to wherever your main flight simulator folder is located, and then to the following location:

Packages\Official\Steam\asobo-aircraft-a320-neo\SimObjects\AirPlanes\Asobo_A320_NEO

Open the config file called flight_model with a text editor and search for the following: lift_coef_flaps

Change that value to 0.6.  As you can see, mine was at 1.45:

You should be good to go.

Actually here is a better list of changes for each aircraft. If your aircraft does not have lift_coef_flaps in the flight_model.cfg, reduce by half the lift_scalar section in the CFG.

Airbus A320 - lift_coef_flaps changed from 1.4538 to 0.7269

For the A320, Flybywire has a newly released version 0.5.3 that corrects the flaps/floating issue with that aircraft.

The Freeware ATR 72-600 works doesn't seem to be affected too much.

The TBM 930 remains utterly ruined from the latest update...almost unstoppable on the runway.

I've been flying the Beechcraft Baron G58 on MSFS because of the eye candy, and all passenger aircraft still on P3Dv4.5. You just can't beat the PMDG 737,. and I like the A318 - 321. It looks like you folks are flying the A320 and such on MSFS. Has it gotten any better?
