vroute is now available for VATSIM users

In order to invite you to our vroute community, I need your VATSIM ID. If you have not installed vroute yet, then I will also need your email address to send you an invitation. You can send it to me by email through our SPA web site.

Once an invitation has been sent to you, then you will have a couple of weeks to accept. If you do not accept, then your invitation will have to be offered again.

Hey Ken. VATSIM is a blast. I flew from Minneapolis to Detroit tonight and it was a challenge. I thought I would just fly over the Chicago center airspace which was under control and then just land at KDTW which at the time I started had no controller. But, when I was handed off to Cleveland Center ( a great character I might say), I knew I was in trouble. I had planned to land on runway 4L (ILS) because the night was rainy with a seven mile vis. But, Detroit approach had other plans for me. They wanted me to land on 21R which had no ILS and was a lot shorter. This meant that I had to change my modus operandi very quickly. I actually figured out that I could set up my ILS approach to runway 21L and when runway 21R was in sight, just side slip over to land visually on 21R. No worry. I made it just fine but my nerves were shot. I need a beer.

By the way, here is a picture of our flight attendants.

carnold, I'm glad you are supporting our VATSIM community. Now, we just need some more to get on line and fly a VATSIM flight plan.

Actually, we need at least two more to install vroute and get signed up so our St. Paul Airlines community can get on the official list of vroute communities. Once that happens, we should see a lot of other virtual pilots who want to join our great St. Paul Airlines. Let's make it happen, people!

If we can get together enough SPA VATSIMers to sponsor an event at ZMP then it's a go. Let's key those mics and shout what it's all about. We need to do this, and let's tell the controllers that we are going to do our homework.
