Fellow SPA wing-nuts:>
If any of you are having the problem I had of FSX hanging at the opening screen and never loading, yet using about 50% of your CPU power and the task manager saying FSX was NOT responding, here is the solution:
Your Logbook is corrupted. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files, find your Logbook and change the name. I changed mine from "Logbook.bin" to "Logbook1.bin", and now FSX opens and runs OK.
Good luck! :-x

Jerry,
Thanks for the great find. If the same happens to any one of us, we will know exactly what should be done.
Anthony,
Great to hear that you have FSX now. We should do shared aircraft with you one of these days. Adding one more 512 RAM stick, would greatly increase the performance in your system.
Hope you all had a great christmas.

Anthony,
Naresh hit the nail on the head about your system memory! You'll need at least a GIG if not two, to get FSX running. Also, for those of you who use Nvidia based graphic cards, check out:
