Other than the runway autothrottle at takeoff that still is a problem, the MCDU Approach Phase Work around, and the too high approach issue, I find the A320 quite flyable. The autothrottle issue is easy to watch for at takeoff and then generally behave after that. The Approach phase problem was an issue, but I think I finally figured out how to change the waypoints using CLR (It seems to only let you CLR waypoints when the upper knob is set to PLN mode). It still leaves annoying artifacts of old route on screen but will follow the changed route and not the artifact. I only had the Altitude issue once so far landing at KORD. I'll have to watch the official approach plates more carefully and manually descend to the designated altitudes even if ATC doesn't tell me to. I suppose I could switch off ATC altogether also, but I kind of like using that too.

I try MS2020 daily, but I go back to X-Plane or P3D. Much easier to get around then the confines of FS2020. Yes we need more GA airplanes and we don't need glass cockpits just a GPS. Gotta have some PA28s and Piper twins. I'm still using P3D 4.5. Is there a lot to gain from V5?

I tried my first A320 flight from MSP to DLH. I set it for a direct flight course using AI most of the way enroute. The weather was clear. After being cleared to land at Duluth, I tried landing it manually after turning off AI. Too bad the aircraft started to porpoise on final and I bounced it on the runway causing major damage to the landing gear.

It's a difficult plane to land manually, even with easy settings. I've had hard landings on all manual landings except for my last one at KORD. I've found the best way to land is to leave it on autopilot and speed setting autothrottle with throttle in CL position until after touchdown, then pull back to reverse thrust. Pulling back before touch down, like at FLARE can make for a rougher landing.
I don't think the landing challenge is a bug, possibly a more realistic flight modeling of the larger aircraft.

Just finished KPHX-KFSD-KMIA-TNCM in the A320neo and had zero issues the entire way. Everything worked as it should including the weather, takeoffs, my routing, ILS and RNAV approaches and landings.
I guess the old adage of "your mileage may vary" applies heavily to our newest simulator!

In going through that forum thread on the latest patch, it appears that many problems are created by non-standard addons that have already been available and added to the sim by some users. This is the references to deleting everything from the community folder. That's the folder that keeps 3rd party addons. Even the A320 had some "improvements" available as a 3rd party addon. Some of the various addons have resulted in crash to desktop. Other issues appeared to be with the download process.
I've had no problems downloading the patch, and I did note a good improvement in much less stutters when flying the A320 with the patch. Most of my other issues are not bad enough to keep me from flying it in the current condition.
I've just started the Miami Sightseeing Charter in our Bush Ops Division to see how it fares with the new 2020 scenery (without the need of my scenery addon for P3d/FSX). I've posted pics so far, and it looks like it will be possible to do many additional sightseeing adventures without the need to add additional scenery, although I'll miss the fireworks over Disney World that come with the P3d/FSX addon. Not sure how many of my sights will be visible in the 2020 sim, but I'll find out as I go along. The nice part with the FL Charter is that it comes with the flight plan in the zip folder. I didn't do one for the MN charter, but I'm curious to see those sites in FS2020 as well. I've been flying the Caravan, and it's been a bit easier to fly than the A320 once I figured out how to get the nav/gps working and the altitude control working. The FS2020 version offers a great view out the window as well.
