So you have bought your new flight sim, and you load it up and after 40min it is done and you are ready for a flight.
You have been in ore of all the vidios and screenshots that you have seen, and you have been looking at the different forums around the web.
So you fire up the sim load your plane goto an airport you like best and hit
flynow, then to your dismay you only get a third of the frame rates you were getting in FS9, so you carry on with your flight but you soon find out that when you try and land at one of the airports that has had a face lift your frame rates hit rock bottom.
Ok you have been thinking about the dreaded upgrade and the differant systems that are out there, but what is the best for flightsimming, and to get the best out of it, what do you need.
There are two main types of processer out there,
1, AMD ATHLON 64 DUEL CORE FX-62 SOCKET AM2
2, INTEL CORE EXTREME X6800 [2.93 GHz] 4MB CACHE 1066 MHZ
Then you need a good graphics card.
1,NVIDIA 7900GTX 512MB
2, ATI RADEON X1900XT CROSSFIRE
So all you guys out there in SPA land which one is it going to be, which ones would you bye if you were upgrading, and which ones are best for flight simming.
Comments welcome.
Or would you all wait for DX10 compatable systems to come out.

Thanks for the info nice computer, i can get the same over here at the same price but with a lot more inside,
Bigger hard drive 1GB Graphics card etc.
Jerry,
Yes i have got it it is good but to get the best i will need a powerfull system to run it the way i would like.
I will have to become a Bush pilot as at the large airports my frame rates hit rock bottom.
i think a bit more testing to try and get better frame rates.
I read on the forams about defragmenting the hard drive will give it a go.
Thank god for FS9.
