I have 1gig of ram and a GeForce 7900Gt nvidia graphics card and a 2.8ghz proccessor and i was wondering if i got another two gigs of ram if u think that would help improve my frame rates at a higher graphics settings

I'm not too computer savvy, but it helped me out a little when I added another gig to mine. My vid card has 512 memory though so if you have less than that, you might need to upgrade your video card also.

Maybe someone else can chime in that has more experience in this field than I do...

If you're using more than 45% of your computer memory (RAM) on average, then you should think of adding more. This will reduce the paging. Paging occurs when there is not enough available RAM for storing your running programs, so the computer moves the overflow program information onto your hard disk temporarily. Since a hard disk is very slow compared to RAM, this also slows down the response time of your programs. You ideally want enough RAM to store the entire program that your computer is running.
