TID-BIT: ![:-? :-?](/media/kunena/emoticons/confused.png)
VS on a 3 degree Glideslope is = to 1/2 your Groundspeed X 10:
90 kts GS = 450 fpm rate of descent.
(90/2=45X10=450)
NOTE: The SALEM LOC BC RWY 13 plate.
It is a BC and thus does NOT have an electronic GS, but the Glide Path angle is listed on the plate for GPS/or manual VS input.
Look at the PROFILE view. See the 3.20> between ARTTY & JUVRO? That is the angle of the Glide Path from ARTTY (FAF) to the RWY.
IF: 3.0 degrees = 90/2 = 45X10 = 450. THEN you can figure the rate for a 3.2.
450/3.0X3.2=480fpm.

This flight looks very interesting Jerry. Thanks a million for doing it. I'll do my best to fly it at some stage, I'm pretty busy these days and finding time to fly can be tough.

You are the second one.

Thanks Yoland for flying the IFR flight. I know it isn't easy, but hopefully those that fly it are learing something.
Have a great day!
