Human Resources Manager Needed was created by SPA118
All,
We have an empty desk in the Human Resources department that needs to be filled. Here is a rundown of the responsibilities and the criteria that needs to be met in order to fill the position:
The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the President. This position will handle the processing of new pilots, leave requests, promotions, and terminations. This position will serve as an advocate to all new pilots until the pilot is established here at SPA. The following criteria will be observed when considering a pilot for this position:
A) Time with the airline: The prospective candidate shall have at a minimum 90 days time in service with SPA.
Assignment Record: The prospective candidate shall have a record of on-time completion of flight assignments, as attested to by their current Hub Manager.
C) Knowledge of Procedures: The prospective candidate shall demonstrate, either through training or through testing, a thorough knowledge of SPA procedures as documented in the SOP.
Keep in mind that candidates for a staff position are subject to review and confirmation by a majority of the Senior Staff, and ALL staff members must hold the rank of First Officer.

Well, you made this public, so I will reply in like. I for one am a bit miffed that you want the job; with a VA that you feel and I quote: "I've been thinking lately about what I am looking for in a VA and I've come to the sad realization that SPA isn't it. I am trying to find a more structured environment that closely emulates real world airlines. I am having a hard time staying motivated flying our flights, especially now that they are in monthly intervals" End Quote
I for one feel if you want to stay an active part of Management, you should have stayed where you were. If you don't like it here; well, as the saying goes, "Don't let the door Hit you".......

Chris.. You'd probably make a great HR man, but I think recent history, would give a lot of people doubts.

All,
Let’s end this right here before it turns into a “flame war”. Chris requested to be considered for the HR position and his name will be thrown into the bucket for voting accordingly. Those who applied will know by the end of the week whether they got the position or not.
