Pilots,

I continue to wait to hear from Support on the intermittent connection issues. Please contact me by forum post, or if that's not possible - or in addition to, by email. Describe the connection issue ie. PIREP sending error or website not working properly.

By notifying me this way - particularly by email, I can more quickly get our provider's support staff working on the problem.

Hey John,

I'm trying to send in an ACARS PIREP right now and when I press the "send log" button, nothing is happening. Website seems to be working fine apart from the PIREP issue.

Edited to add that I just got a pop-up message from SPAACARS saying "PIREP transfer not successful."<br /><br /><!-- editby --><br /><br /><em>edited by: SPA118, Mar 14, 2020 - 11:46 AM</em><!-- end editby -->

Yes, there's been ongoing connection issues today. The site appears ok now but I haven't tried sending a pirep myself. I've noted today intermittent issues with areas of pages not displaying. I'm certain it's all related to the problems that happened back in February. I'll call them now to see what's being done and then try a flight myself.

In the past I've found that once the site is displaying the pirep will send successfully. You might have to close that pop-up about unsuccessful send message before you can push the button and successfully attempt to send it again, though I don't remember.

I'll advise what I find out.

Also...as a last resort you can copy your data and file manually through Pilot's office. The SPAACARS has an option, under the Settings "File" option I think to display your flight data for filing manual pirep.

Unfortunately, support was not able to duplicate the problem or find an issue.

Looks like the Site is down again. Just completed a flight and was unable to get my PIREP sent....kind of anyway. The ACARS said that the PIREP was not sent but checking on the site it appears on the front page. There is no update to our DB though, so I suppose it's the site instead of the ACARS program.

BTW, was able to save the PIREP info as a text file in the PIREP program.

I also noted the issue and immediately contacted support. They have identified and corrected the problem. I'm now aware of the issue and will monitor the source of the problem to prevent future interruptions of service and try to find out what might be causing it. I'm hoping that we will have fewer issues from now on.
