Very nice Steve...yes - that's what I was talking about. Northern lights was possible cause of crash - I've added that additional narrative to the main information for AP2 on the Adventure Pack page that discusses this. I wanted to wait till someone flew it. I've also added my pictures of the Northern Lights and of my East Landing Zone. I have to say that getting the Northern Light effect to work was a several day project I'm probably most proud of in this adventure - and I think it's a dazzling and appropriate effect for this adventure.

Hey Steve, Did you make it to the wreckage site? It's farther up the glacier past the Cub Valley landing zone (AP23) that you sent a picture of. Continue following the caribou up the glacier from Cub Valley Landing Zone.

Just finished AP21. That was a long one, 8.3 hours. The northern ligths threw me too, but great work. I tried the DC 4, but couldn't get the autopilot to work, so I used a DC-3.

Steve - yes, the picture is of cub valley campsite, but you need to go farther up the glacier - following the caribou to the crash debris that the real world adventurers discovered. They had to hike up on foot, but we can bump our way up virtually in bush aircraft and land at the site where the glacier finally gave up some of the wreckage of flight 4422 . Where's the pictures at the debris site showing the artifacts of flight 4422

edited by: jer029, Jul 30, 2016 - 11:32 PM

Yikes Bill - a DC-3 ? You are a glutton for punishment. Congrats on toughing out AP21 - it gets easier - or shorter anyway, for the rest of this adventure.

FYI - just found this about the author of Flight of Gold:
Kevin McGregor died on October 30, 2015. So relatively young for such an adventurous soul. Note the condolence message from Valorie Van Heest, author of Fatal Crossing - a likely future SPA adventure source.
