Many thanks to the pilots who joined us on the Caribbean Tour Multiplayer Flight yesterday. There were 5 of us. We'll have another flight soon - likely next Tuesday same time as that seemed to work well. We flew for about 1.5 hours, taking our time. There were no technical problems for pilots, which is very unusual for a multiplayer flight, so all pilots were able to takeoff on time and fly to our last stop.
Multiplayer Participation Icons were added to the Awards Page for those who participated.
I look forward to seeing everyone interested join in the fun for the next flight.

Just repeating in John`s post, l too want to thank, Bill, Oswald, Jim, (Skywagon) and for those who wanted to fly with us but for personal reason or essential commitment could not, hoping one day you will.
Those that want to join us but are not sure if they should, please do. With the words "Self Isolation" going around these days, you need and out from all of this. All your going to find here is, fellow pilots
that willing to help you get going as smoothly as possible, if you have never done this before. It`s a very informal but friendly skies indeed. If you get lost or have issue with your fltsim or aircraft there`s
always someone to help. l will personally direct you back on course. l will even go back and get you and follow me back to the airport. At the end of the flight, you will get to know your fellow pilots a little
more than you did before. That`s what multiplayer is all about.

Thanks to you for preparing and leading the flight. I enjoyed it a lot, though I was really busy to keep my little push-pull to the limit without explosion of an engine.
It would have been nice to see you, too, but I felt very well part of the flying flock by multiplayer chat and Larry's clear and friendly steering information. Thanks for that, I can definitely recommend Flightgear pilots to take part despite a different multiplayer network.
As soon as the new FG release is out and working, I'd like to try Swift project which is able to connect FG with other sims in a common MP network, apparently (test versions) it works for VATSIM, but it is said to be designed for broader use. It might take weeks, or months, as FG developers do their work as time consuming hobby, but eventually it will work.
Hope to get a common MP network for all relevant sims in the future, and maybe SPA is on the forefront?
Regards,

Oswald
BTW I put a few "multiplayer" photos in place, thanks John for your group image, I certainly admire the Speed Super Cub

Hah Oswald,
Thanks so much for joining us and representing the FG simulator group! I did feel bad that there weren't other pilots to share your experience and join us on the flight, but it was great to hear you on TeamSpeak and to get to know you and other SPA pilots by voice where I had only previously known you by email and forum post.
A note about the picture I posted - I'm not sure what the various planes other pilots were flying because JoinFS tries to match the plane model with similar in your aircraft selection, and when it can't it uses the setting for default aircraft. I have mine set to a Piper Cub for default. I believe it was Jim A. (Skywagon) who appeared in my picture as a Piper Cub. I appeared as the little Beech Bonanza, which is what I flew...although with reality mode turned off, I red-lined my engine to the point of failure most of the flight, but it gave me the extra speed to keep up while messing around trying to do video and other things.
I only got a few takeoffs and landings, and I don't think suitable for a video presentation, but will be nice to add for our next year's promo video as a segment. I'll try to do better on the next multiplayer flight - the continuation of our Caribbean Tour. Perhaps someone (Larry) can remind me of our last airport hop so that I can post it as our starting point for the next flight.
I'll post the next flight for Tuesday at 1300 CDT again just as this week - so plan on that those who can make it. It will take me a day or two to get the postings all over the place again - when I get the starting airport for that flight.
Thanks again everyone, and hope to see you all again next Tuesday.
Until then...
Happy flying,
