FSX X-PACK

Before i start on about the above subject, a DC3 has just flown over my house at 500ft what a great site to see. i only see it once a year and that is on Remembrance day 11 November.

Ok i know a couple of you have got FSX X-Pack, did you have any problems with it.

I lost a couple of aircraft that i have to re-install no problem, but the F18 thats another baby alltogether.

What a panel i spent the best part of an hour trying to work it out, i thought i new my way round it as i have Lock On and other combat sims but to no avail.

Also with the new aircraft there is no 2D panel, well i couldn't find one if its there i would like to know how to make it work.

Jerry sent this forum link to me and some other info,,,Most helpful.

There is no 2d panel and the only popup panel ths the default GPS, but on the forum they recommend not using it.

I can now create a flight plan, tune radios, and navigate thanks to the info at this forum. I've had a few CDT's ussualy from going back to a saved flight. The F-18 alone was worth it and the panel is fun to use once you figure it out some.

Yes, go to the fsdreamteam site. They have some very good info on using the FA-18 panel.

Once you figure it out it's a lot of fun.

I've read where other people have reported problems with some add-ons after installing the Accel, but I haven't found any yet.

I"m having serious issues with Acceleration/SP2. No matter what NVidia Drivers I seem to try, I cannot change from Full Screne to Windowed mode....as soon as I hit the Alt key, CTD. I've posted my issues at Avsim with no help so far.

Using Xp Home with SP2 (pretty recent install) and a Nvidia 7950GT with 512 meg of ram. The only driviers I havn't tried are the 169.XX as they are still beta and I've always had issues with beta drivers. If someone here knows the entry in the FSX.CFG telling FS to start in Windowed, I sure would like to know it.

For those of you who use FSX exclusively, and have the accelleration/sp2 installed....can I get a look at your fsx.cfg? Also, what kind of sys are you guys running and how are things looking? I'm about to uninstall thoe whole damn thing and start over from scratch...but I did reinstall fs9, and it looks and works great....so.....what to do?
