VATSIM Flights?

Just a quick question...

If I fly on VATSIM using SPA callsign/ aircraft...can i log the time for that flight, even if it's not a charter / cargo / assigned flight???

I was thinking of starting my VATSIM flight numbers in my log book with "VAT" and then append the current date in yymmdd format to it so It would look like "VAT071102".

What do you think?

That VAT prefix is a great idea...i was prob just gonna use "VATSIM" or "ONLINE" or somethin like that!!!

I have used as many as ten characters in my flight code when I had more than one flight in a day. I like the idea of the three character prefix because that should give us a lot of freedom to be creative.

Our log book is our own, but we might fly this by our hub manager to see if he wants us all to use the same prefixes.
