When FSX first came out my system could not run it well at all...low FPS with low settings. I had a 3.2 GB CPU and a 3 1/2 year old GF5950 Ultra 256 vid card with 1 GB of RAM.
Since MS came out with patch one I have added another GB of RAM =2GB now, and a GF7950GT 512 AGP vid card.
My system now runs FSX very well.
I have different settings built for different types of flying: one for busy airports, another for normal scenery, and yet another for water textures on high and country flying.

The FPS are not high...stable around 17-20 is all, but the smoothness at that rate is extremely good.

I enjoy FSX so much now that I hardly ever fly FS9 anymore...which I have kept on a different hard drive.

Have a great days guys...take care.
