I appreciate your advice.

The quality of my land line has deteriorated lately and I am looking at alternatives. I already fired my old long distance phone company once because of bad service and we saved a ton of money by switching to another service provider. We also now use our cell phones for long distance because of our plan minutes. We do not make overseas calls now, but did once.

Our local telephone company (now AT&T) is bundling three services for a great introductory price of $99 a month for the first year. This includes TV, Internet, and phone service. The regular monthly rate for all three could be as much as $200 a month or more. I would not want to sign a binding contract with them for several years in order to get the initial introductory price for the first year.

The only other competitor to AT&T is Comcast, our local cable company. They started the bundling of TV, Internet, and phone services, and AT&T is trying to woo customers away from them.
