Weather Maker RX....? was created by jetjerry
I just downloaded a DEMO version of Wx Maker RX (for FSX) and tried it out with the "bad" wx in south Texas (DEMO area). It projected the wx in a much more accurate fashion that just using real wx download of FSX (update every 15 min).
At the moment it is on sale for $15.
I was just wondering if anyone else has used it...or has the full version installed on their computer for FSX.
The reason I went looking is because when I flew the "Dean" mission to Jamaica I was using FSX and it's built-in wx download engine, and it failed the test badly! The wx in FSX when I arrived was clear and calm...not the case in the real world.
So, if you are using "Weather Maker RX" in FSX please post a note stating if you like it or not...and why, please.
Thank You,
Jerry

I think there must have been a problem with the source that microsoft use for the weather!!! because to be fair...even if it is only simple cloud layers and such that the default engine generates...it still (i find) at least gets wind direction/speed, general cloud layers reasonably accurate...
Perhaps the weather station that jeppessen use in that area of the world was down because of the strom, because everywhere else i tried that day gave me something at least!!
Anyway...I'm afraid i cant help you with the wx maker...I hear Active sky X is good though

I just did the DFW to MUN run using FSMeteo for real-time Weather. The ATIS was giving 120/26 and 6 miles at MMUN, but the weather was a good deal more complex than that. See the photos I posted.
