Fellow SPA wing-nuts: FSX

I (Jerry Allen) would like to try out the FSX ATC function.
Therefore I would like to setup an on-line flight for this Sunday, the 12th.
Depart anywhere you wish so as to arrive at Nashville, TN. (KBNA) at about 1600Z.
Fly any aircraft you want.

According to the FSX instructions I think you must have the Deluxe version in order to connect with ATC. (not sure, as we've never used it before).

Please go to your FSX Learning Center and read up on "MULTI-PLAYER" AND "ATC" before joining the flight.
Also read Nareah's tutorial "How to connect to FSX multi-player session"...found on the front page of the Forum. THANK YOU!

I will act as HOST and will put my IP address in the SPA shout box the morning of the 12th.

Any questions...please post here.

THANKS

Jerry,

Sorry to say I'll have to miss Sunday - on the road again. :-( Maybe next time. Good Luck.

Mike:

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it!

I just hope we can get it all to work. Steve L. and I tried FSX on-line together yesterday, and he couldn't get on using my IP, but I got on using his. Then he could hear me (mic) but I couldn't hear him.

It may turn out to be a "learn how session". We'll see.

take care.....

Sorry to hear that Jerry.

Gents,

Please if you have a router or a modem with built in NAT (firewall), please have your ports forwarded for multiplayer games. You can find the instructions here:
www.stpaulairlines.com/index.php?module=...c=viewtopic&topic=82

The instructions there apply to both FS9 and FSX.

If you do not know if you have a router or modem with built in NAT, please goto Start>Run [enter]. In the command prompt type IPCONFIG/ALL [enter]

If your IP address starts with 198.xxx, then you are behind a NAT. Please proceed to the link provided above for further actions or you can post your questions here.

Also, if you have a software firewall, please either configure those for online gamings or disable the firewall during online games. If you need help, please do not hesitate to ask here. We are all here to help.

It is best if you configured your system prior to the online flight otherwise, it will cause lots of hassle to the other members.

Thanks.

Naresh
