Baffin Island, Canada
While most people who head to island destinations are looking for tropical getaways, some just want to chill out. Baffin Island - the largest island in the Canadian Arctic - draws its fair share of thermal underwear-attired visitors in search of a cold fusion of total seclusion and unique culture.
<img src="www.stpaulairlines.com/tempimages/may200...00-Baffin_island.jpg">
Over 140 years ago Scottish whalers set up shop on Baffin. These days, however, much of the treeless island - and the waters around it - are protected national parks. The vast, unspoilt tundra, the mountainous interior and the hundreds of bays and fjords of the rugged northern coast make the huge 476,070 sq km (183,810 sq mi) island a perfect destination for adventure travellers wanting more than parasails and glass-bottomed boats.
However, if you're sure you've arrived in the right place, get set for a wild ride. While there's not much to do in town, a fly-in trip to the 21,500 sq km (8400 sq mi) Auyuittuq National Park is unmissable. The name means 'the land that never melts': ironically, the best time to be there is in June and July when the snow has melted and the meadows are covered with clumps of tundra grasses.
Hiking and climbing are popular activities at this time (bring your Swiss Army knife: the park has some of the highest cliff faces in the world), while a little earlier in the year, you can cross-country ski to eternity. There is 24 hours of sunlight between May and July, but don't let this cheery news fool you: the weather remains unpredictable and the temperatures aren't conducive to sunbathing.
We all know that our beloved charter manager is on vacation. He called us from, you guessed it right , Baffin Island to let us know he met a Canadian Airlines executive while on a fishing trip. Fortunately, both these men, even on their vacations, they can not stop thinking about their airlines and their fellow pilots.
In addition to talking about the stories of all the big fish those got away , both the men struck a deal to transport hiking and trekking gear to many locations in the island. Lucky for us, I might add.
Here is the map of the route:

You may fly any planes(suitable for these flights) you wish to. If you want some extra challenge, you may customize the weather to 3SM visibility.
Please put your flight numbers as C7501, C7502, C7503, and so on.
And do not forget to post pictures in our Photo Albums.
Keep the dirty side down.
Thanks Dave for all your hard work. Catch lots of fish and post some pictures here too. Post a picture of your brand new computer too.

I'm going to try to make this one. I've got FS9 loaded up, still have to install Teamspeak again; and a few of our aircraft. I have NOT re-installed FSX as I am waiting for the SP1 to come out; I've read that you should have a clean install before you try to install SP1 on it....
Good job on these Charters Naresh; love the Google maps you've done!

I would really like to join in tomorrow, but I don't think I can make it. I'll be shopping for "Mother's Day".
