On any given evening, at any given airport in the United States, you'll likely find a general aviation pilot performing touch and goes on a quest for that perfect landing. But user fees have grounded that privilege for European pilots — it costs too much to practice when each landing comes with a price tag.
"I find that students that come over having done some training in the United States can land the airplane beautifully because this cost isn't a factor. They can go and land wherever they like as many times as they like. And practice makes perfect," said Galina Crosby Creese, with American Flight Academy at the Elstree Aerodrome in the U.K., during an interview with <I>AOPA Pilot</I> Editor at Large Thomas A. Horne.
