Photo Albums

Gentlemen,

If you have some old photos in the albums, please kindly remove them. The size of the photo albums has been very huge lately, and it takes a long time to backup the website due to its contents.

I highly recommend making sub folders under your main album. That way, you can easily delete a sub-album, instead of deleting one picture at a time.

In a few days, I am going to impose some restrictions on uploading pics. Please no files bigger then 300KB. Try to use 80-90% JPG quality in your Screen Capture program.

I highly appreciate if you capture screenshot in half size (Snapper setting). I highly doubt that any body will even take their time to look at the full sized pictures. The preview size (our photo gallery automatically reduces to 640x480) is more than enough for viewing good quality pictures.

We still have some people with low speed internet connection. Creating sub-albums under your main album really helps when you wish to delete your old pictures.

All the pictures older than 3 months will be removed except those that are in the General Album, Misc and Get together etc albums. It does not mean that you leave them there for me to remove them after three months. I am busy like everyone else. Please try to remove them yourself to avoid further misunderstandings.

Please try to understand, it has been extremely slow during backing up of the website due to the size of the pictures. I do not want to impose restrictions on these, but it calls for these.
