This has probably been out for a while, but I just started using it and seems like a good tool. Not all aircraft are listed but I like how it puts a lot of information in one place. It keeps up with the latest nav data also if you have a subscription to Navdata. You can download flight information to many different systems also.

simBrief looks somewhat like what we are trying to accomplish here.
I like the simBrief Dispatch feature, but we have assigned flights to work with. I also like the ability to change our last PIREP.
It would be great to be able to import a flight from our SPA flights database into this APP.
Question? How does simBrief work with VATSIM?
I have used the ForeFlight for a flight planning APP in the past. ForeFlight required a subscription, however. ForeFlight also connects with some of the popular flight simulators through their API. I have used it with Microsoft FS and there is also an APP to connect through P3D. You would also need a tablet computer APP. I installed ForeFlight on my iPad and it allows me to make and follow a flight plan on my iPad. It also shows my flight progress on the flight chart on my iPad. ForeFlight is a very professional application that real pilots use.

It works well with Vatsim. It looks at the latest routes and let's you select which route to use. You can then take the route and save it in a vpilot format so filling a flight plan is simple. you can even file it with vatsim. I use littleNavMap to monitor flight progress and load the flight plan from SimBrief into it also. I load the P4Dv4 flight plan with the simBrief info also so the pirep is loaded prior to flight also. I wish there was a better fuel manager. I keep getting dinged on to little or too much fuel.

Like Robert, I also have been using Foreflight as my flight planning addon, although this is quite expensive and developed for real-world pilots. I have also used FSBuild and continue to use that to convert my Foreflight routes into fsx/p3d flightplans that I then load into my sim and ultimately into SPAACARS through its "Flight Plan" button. Foreflight offers fuel-planning feature, but that is dependent on a number of variables you must enter ie. aircraft, distance, fuel burn rate, etc. If those are off - well, garbage in - garbage out. I do like that it calculates head/tail winds for the flight based on real-world weather, which I use in sim with ActiveSky Next. The Aerosoft CRJ 700 I've been flying recently also calculates fuel, but I still got nailed many times on fuel over/under penalty. I believe this is primarily due to my own laziness for not more accurately ensuring the integrity of the data used for the calculations.

Foreflight has routes (a route button that displays available routes - ATC cleared and other routes), I'm not sure what the difference is, not being a real pilot, but I suspect these change as do the charts regularly since these are used by real pilots and must be kept current. It also shows which airports are IFR/VFR by red or green dots. Hovering over them will give the actual visibility I think. I've used the flight-following with the available addon, but stopped because it takes some of the fun out it's so easy to follow the progress superimposed on a VFR chart. I only wish it could show AI traffic.
I'm guessing Robert knows the SPA database pretty well since he and Naresh are the 'fathers' of SPA and developed most of the databases and original code for the site. Bill is correct that the SPA flights database are only To/From - the routes are up to the individual pilot. Yoland's Special Ops flights are not in a database and are therefore not 'searchable' or possible for import/export in their current form. I generally use Foreflight for the routes and then enter that into FSBuild to generate the file suitable for loading into FSX/P3d.

P3D will allow exporting flight plans to any folder we want to create on our own computer. This means we should be able to share flight plans to download and then load into our own simulator.
