Hello Jim,
Thanks for the kind words. We really try to please here at SPA <img src="tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif" alt="smile">.
I should really add some additional information to the teamspeak area, as you'd probably have to search the forum for additional information on it. The easiest way to connect to SPA TeamSpeak is to just click on the link to the "lounge" channel on SPA's main website page. That link should automatically open your TS3 client an put you in that channel. The other channels can be accessed from your TS3 client by clicking on the links in your ts3 client and entering the password "rogers" as shown in lower case but without quotations. You can then book mark these with your ts3 client so that you can enter any of these channels by clicking the bookmark you saved.
Note: The IP address changes and is updated periodically because I don't pay extra money for a business static IP address, but it's the same as that shown for FSHost next to the TeamSpeak on the main page. In fact, I think your TS3 client would connect to the lounge channel just by typing that FSHost IP without adding the ports shown on FSHost.
SPAACAR's has a an instructional pdf file in the main folder that you can open with Adobe Reader. In addition to other useful information, the following is included regarding the starting of SPAACARS again after a simulator crash:
Resuming Flight After Simulator Crash
Don’t close SPAACARs!
Method 1:
If there is a disconnect of FSUIPC – most likely through FSX simulator unexpected closing, you can restart your flight at the location last recorded. The easiest way to do this is by using FSUIPC’s “Auto-Save” feature. Just load the auto-saved flight and you should be flying again about where you left off prior to the sim crash. SPAACARS will link up automatically and continue your flight.
Method 2:
Non-registered FSUIPC users may select the “Use Autosave” option in SPAACAR’s Settings Menu. This will autosave a flight SPAACARS.FLT that can be reloaded in the event of a simulator crash. SPAACARS will link up automatically and continue your flight.
Method 3:
In the absence of a saved flight you can use the position and fuel on board information for that last position update located in the “Acars Messages” tab. Once your simulator is running again and your plane is configured the way it was during your crashed flight, set the fuel on board to match that from the position update block and then cut and paste the lat and lon into the
simulator map/location to have your plane jump to that last recorded location. Again,
SPAACARS will automatically reconnect and start recording the flight data.
A special note to all pilots: If your sim stops working when flying an econ flight, don't start the sim on the ground or it will auto log your flight as completed with crazy results. I discovered this yesterday when my sim crashed with that troublesome Aersosoft CRJ700/900 for P3dv4. The problem was that my auto saved file kept crashing the sim as well...hmmm. Also, you may be presented with fuel and payload errors that will require you to adjust your fuel and or payload to the values shown on the error messages. This is due to the new fuel/payload/time verifications added with the latest Econ Mode update.
Regardless, I'm always an email away from helping during most days so feel free to run any questions or problems by me through email and I'll usually respond within a day or less.
Nice flying on your Econ flights by the way <img src="tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-clap.gif" alt="clap">.
