"Ask Agent" and yoke problems

Hello fellow pilots from here in Perth, Western Australia,
Sadly due to an improperly set-up yoke as to sensitivities and null zones I am landing very heavily with landing rates over -1000 which is really bugging me. Thank you publically to John, Larry and Steve who helped me out with getting SPAACARS to function properly, wings crossed I think it is working correctly now. The poor landing is associated with why I received an "ask agent" message, I assume. I believe buying FSUIPC instead of the freeware copy would let me have more yoke control but I wonder if it is difficult to set up. Thank you John for the comments from the flight staff at the end of the flight, I enjoy that on SPAACARS. Hoping to catch up with of many of you as I can on teamspeak, I am +8hours of GMT and seem to be able to catch anyone around the evening here in Perth. Bye for now and happy fling.

Hey Walter,

I didn't remember the difference between registered fsuipc and freeware version. I use the payware version of fsuipc and yes - it gives many options for control settings. For me, yes...the settings of various controls in fsuipc are a bit difficult, but fortunately you can find help on the Internet and probably even on this site. My problem is not reading manuals close enough but rather doing the "what happens if I push this button and spin this thingy" type of adjustments.

Regardless, I've muddled through and managed to have FSUIPC control even my most complex aircraft with multiple throttles and reverse thrust.

Oh...and regarding your "ask agent" - I would have had one too yesterday, but I unclicked the econ mode prior to sending :-D (I leave "send land rate" unclicked as econ mode automatically sends land rates even with "send land rate" unchecked).

The SPAACARs log page shows your landing rate after you land - yet before you send any data, so if you wish to still send the flight and not have a "crash" in Econ, you can look at your landing rate and uncheck the econ mode before hitting the 'send pirep' button if the rate is -1000 or worse. This will just log your pirep and show no landing rate data or econ data when you send your pirep.

In my case, it was a result of using that new ATC program mentioned in the earlier post. The over-taxing of my system resulted in impossibly slow frame rates that eventually crashed FSX after landing, but before the sim crashed, my plane would have recorded a 'crash' based on the hard landing. This was with the Aerosoft A321 and due to the over-taxed system, the autopilot couldn't keep up with the changes - causing it to oscillate up and down on the glide slope. This resulted in a final nose dive towards the runway at the last moment. I tried to retake control but there was not auto disconnect and I had both APs set for autoland. By the time I got them both turned off I was bouncing along the runway.

Anyway - just a reminder, no matter how you send your pirep (econ mode or not), your flight will be accepted as a normal pirep at SPA (only crashes as detected in FSX or other sim - if crash detect is turned on, should not be sent to SPA). Landing rate crashes identified by SPAACARS don't have any affect on regular SPA PIREPS. They only appear on the econ page and the 'arrivals page'.
