Google SketchUp Tool

This is a great tool for creating 3D models of your own design. Once you create your design, you can upload it to Google Earth and place it on the map where you want it to go. Give it a try. I think we could have a lot of fun with this, and it makes your Google Earth more personal.

Google SketchUp (free) is an easy-to-learn 3D modeling program that enables you to explore the world in 3D. With just a few simple tools, you can create 3D models of houses, sheds, decks, home additions, woodworking projects - even space ships. And once you've built your models, you can place them in Google Earth, post them to the 3D Warehouse, or print hard copies.

By the way, new beta version of Google Earth is available for download. It is lot better than the current version. Check it out.
