Hello fellow pilots,
I'm new here but have used FSACARS before when I had FS9. I am now using FSX but I do not think that should make such a difference. The thing is when I have landed in my first 2 PIREP's my landing rate and speed are all 0, I cannot believe I am that good a pilot, any ideas what I did not do when I set up FSACARS?????

Hey Walter,

Yes…and that flight plan loading error seems to have always been a problem with fsx and FSACARS – and it really is a pain. I should look into seeing if there is a work-around for that, but I have forever been entering my data manually into FSACARS. It can really be a pain if you have to restart for some reason.

Also – another thing I discovered - If you find that you cannot get your aircraft to accept fuel, it is likely due to the FSACARS program. Make sure to load the fuel before initializing FSACARS. Always check your fuel gauge too before starting. FSACARS will prevent fuel adding sometimes and won’t throw an error. If you don’t catch it on the ground you will likely notice it when the ‘low fuel’ lights come on as your cruising along. Then you can practice the Gimli Glider landing.

Hello John,
Thank you for your quote, the flight plan entry has been bugging me since I joined St Paul.

Just a further note. Today I reviewed replacement ACARS and possible updates. I found no current freeware apps that will fix uploading flight plans. I looked at xacars and kacars, and any change to fsacars, but none that upload default plans from fsx. There is a payware addon, but would prefer something available to all.

I did find the configuration in fsacars to turn off fuel adding prohibition I mentioned above. I disabled this now on my sim.

I use fsbuild-2 and this program is able to load flight routes into fsacars, so I think it's a good intermediate flight planning software to use with fsacars.
