IE9 Compatibility Mode

Okay, so I just installed IE9 beta and the first thing I thought was okay, it seems a lot like Google Chrome but it seems slower and heavier. My next thought was, where is the compatibility mode and what version of IE does it support?

The new IE9 was just released this week and I for one am really fascinated by it. I will not say that one can't use it. The choice is yours. But, to use IE9 for VAHQ, all one has to do is press F12 and select "Document: Quirks Mode" and viola - you are in business.

By the way, I think it is about time to upgrade our SPA web site to get it ready for the 21st century. Telling someone that they can't upgrade is not the answer. We need to make our web site compatible with most of the popular browsers.

Will anyone step up to the plate? We need a home run.

The website is working fine, man. The most of the VAHQ are also running fine, just the search feature is having issues. Everything that I coded is working fine.

If you wish to upgrade your VAHQ search function, please by all means go for it.

I have gotten many really positive comments about our website, how well it is designed, organized and user friendly. Remember, back in those days, we used to have three separate userids and passwords for website, forum and picture gallery? Now, after I took over as the webmaster, we combined those three into one with one single sign on. The webpage is also connected to your PILOTID, no need to enter your PID to file pireps, view assignments etc.

The Website is just fine and UP To DATE!

I was referring to IE9. If our web site does not work with Internet Explorer 9, then we are in trouble. So, we tell our members that they cannot use IE9. That's not right.

VAHQ does not work 100% with IE9.

If you are talking about VAHQ, then that is a different issue. I did not write that. Anything that a user of this website can access, I wrote that with my blood and sweat. So, please use your words wisely. I think you meant VAHQ, not this website. Users do not have access to VAHQ.

O besides, did I mention that even Teamspeak is a single sign on?
