Having just received my forum password, I guess it is time to say hello and introduce myself.
My name's Jan, I am 34, from Germany and currently working as a patent engineer. Been flightsimming since the earliest days - I think my first sim was some Airbus IFR simulator that I typed from a listing in a computer magazine... After a few year's break from simming I finally came back this summer and try to get up to speed again. Looking forward to a nice mixture of regular airliner flights out of St. Paul and some bush flying with you guys!
And now... the questions:
Am I restricted to the fleet aircraft or can I use other ones similar in type and performance to the category I am rated in? I'm particularily interested in the Twin Otter and the Piper Cheyenne, for which I own good payware aircraft - I assume those would be category 1 for both if possible? And then, of course, there is the Jetstream 41...
Oh, and should I wait for my assignments or can I start right away? Itching to get off the ground...
Guess that concludes it for now.
