PIREP Help

Filling out your PIREP for the first time is not intuative, but we have some help text on how to do it. There are two ways:

1. Sign up to use FSACARS. This option will automatically fill in your PIREP for you and you will not have to do any strange calculations. To learn how, <a href="www.stpaulairlines.com/index.php?module=...ic&topic=660&start=0" target="_blank">click here.

2. You can fill in a PIREP web form that we provide on this web site. To get there, just go to our Pilot's Office. The image of the office has clickable areas. Just click on the laptop on that table between the lounge chairs.

This takes you to our PIREP form web page. To learn how to fill out the form, just click on the help link to the top left of the PIREP form. That next web page will tell you how to fill out each box on the PIREP input form. When you are satisfied with what you entered, then just click on the submit button once and go back to the home page. That's it!

FSACARS is the way to do it, guys. But be sure to read the instructions. Things I had a little trouble with:

On arrival, you need to set the parking brake, stop the log, accept the flight, send the log, and then end the flight in FS. If you quit FS for any reason before sending the log, then the log is lost.

Once you get used to it, it's easy, and it ensures accuracy in the report. I always forget to write something down, or mess up the arithmetic, if I try to do it manually.
