Help with FSX missions

My FSX becomes unresponsive when I try to load an FSX mission. Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to fix this? It crashes when I try to load a mission and I can't seem to find a fix other than reinstalling the software. Otherwise, everything else seems to be working fine.

:-(

Thanks, Yoland, for the suggestions. I at least upgraded my video card driver. Otherwise, the problem persists.

I suspect this problem happened when I installed the FSX Expansion pack or the Acceleration pack. Has anyone else installed the SP2?

Anyway, I keep sending the error report to Microsoft and maybe some day there will be a fix for this. I read in a forum that someone tried reinstalling FSX, but that will not work. Apparently it is not possible to roll back SP2. At least I am not the only one having this problem. There is an old posting about it in a Microsoft forum but no response from them for it yet.

I searched my computer for mfc80.dll but did not find a copy. What does it do anyway?

:-?
