Are you looking for a way to capture images or videos and share them? Check out this video link to explain Jing Project. (<a href="video.techsmith.com/jing/latest/demo/introvideo/index.html?" target="_blank">Click here)

We could have a lot of fun with this. The Jing Project web site can be found by (<a href="www.jingproject.com/" target="">clicking here)

Please note that Jing requires a lot of memory. The following image shows that Jing is using more memory than any other process on my computer. It's using 108,712 KB of memory.

If you sign up for a ScreenCast account when installing Jing, you can upload your images and videos to your account space. Then, you can get the link to that object and paste it into your postings here in the forum. This is what I did to get the above image into this posting.

Here is an example of an embeded video:

<param name="quality" value="high"></param> <param name="src" value="content.screencast.com/?parameters=4c97f...idget_controller.swf"> www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="/content.screencast.com/?parameters=4c97f...idget_controller.swf" flashVars="csPreloader=http://content.screencast.com/?parameters=4c97fadf-1827-4082-9478-c09220a1323b_8be7577a-e1d1-4994-8678-058101c25276_static_0_application/x-shockwave-flash_Widget_preload.swf&csConfigFile=http://content.screencast.com/?parameters=4c97fadf-1827-4082-9478-c09220a1323b_8be7577a-e1d1-4994-8678-058101c25276_dynamic_4_text/xml_Widget_config.xml" type="application/x-shockwave-flash">

Bob:

On the surface this looks like a great tool for sharing videos on our forum.

Have you tried it out yet? Do you feel it is too demanding of most computers to be of any real use for us? :-?

Memory is not a problem on my computer. I have 4.0 GB of memory.

I actually used it to capture the image on my original post. It should work great when using the simulator. One thing you can do with it is to create videos. You can also narrate the videos as you create them. You cannot capture background sounds like the engine noise or the radio chatter. It defaults to the mic setting. But, this tool is new and more features will probably be added as users ask for them. If you have line-in and line-out plugs on the back of your sound card, then you can connect the two together with a plug wire to capture background computer sounds. For instance, you cound have some iTunes playing while you fly and record that as background music.

I suggest looking at the Jing blog for more information.

Another piece of software you might consider purchasing for your training projects, Jerry, is <a href="www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.asp" target="_blank">SnagIt. To go to the web site for SnagIt, www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.asp" target="_blank">click here.
