On-line flight this week-end?

Hey all,

Just throwin out an idea. A few weeks back myself and Herman tried doin a VATSIM flight in Ireland, but he had technichal difficulties so couldn't join me. I've been too busy the last few weeks to do it again! We were wondering whether or not people would be interested in doin a VFR flight on sunday, 23rd of Dec? I was thinkin on our own server rather than on VATSIM. that way it's more relaxed and more people might be willing to join us! I'll get back here with ideas for Dep/Dest...or if anyone else has any suggestions...

OK for those of you joining us tomorrow here's what i was thinkin!

The west coast of ireland has some lovely scenery so i wat we could do is, depart from Sligo (EISG) which is kind of in the north west of Ireland. from there, follow the coastline which goes west for about 30NM, then turns south. I've posted pics of two different options, one is from Sligo to Shannon (EINN) flight time for this is about 90 minutes, little longer perhaps! If people would prefer a shorter flight however, one of the islands which we would pass on our way to Shannon has a small airfield which we could go to instead! this island is Inishmaan (EIMN). That would probably take about 20-30 minutes from the flight. As for a time I don't really mind, I'm on my holidays as of yesteray so it really makes no difference to me! That sounds good Herman! Really on a clear day the coast will guide us enough...I'll probably do it without the Navaids! That time suits me grand!! There is also the shorter option to Inishmaan if people would prefer that...to be honest the scenery gets a bit dull as you head inland to Shannan anyway...but i really dont mind where we end up...look forward to seein ye all there!!
