Hey all,
VATeir...The Irish division of VATSIM are holding an Open FIR event on Sunday from 1800z to 2300z (see www.vateir.com/viewevent.php?id=73 for more details) At the moment I am thinkin of doing a flight during this event (even though ultimately it depends on whether I get the work I need to do done).
I have not decided what route i might take but i would definitely either depart or ariive at Cork Airport (EICK) Neither have i decided what time i would be online! Would anyone be interested in doing a bit of flying in Irish airs with me??
I know this is a bit vague but I cant actually commit to anything just yet

Hey Herman!
Glad to hear you're interested!! I would prob be doing this flight on sunday evening...more towards the end of the event maybe 2000 or 2100Z! as for getting to know the irish airports...there quit simple, the only airport with SIDS/STARS is Dublin (EIDW) and when flying IFR, controllers will vector you straight on to the ILS!

I was thinking EISG - EICK
EISG - SLG - SHA - CRK - EICK
Thats Sligo to Cork! you can find that route on vroute...it's the only one for EISG - EICK. I was thinking of flying the B1900D. The flight will take roughly an hour in the Beech.

SquawkBox has a private voice channel feature. In the setup, you can assign two different mic keys, one for VATSIM ATC and the other for private voice chats with other pilots. We just need to find a voice server that works for SPA pilots. Can we use the same channel that Naresh set up for Teamspeak? Maybe we should explore that option.
