I suggest backing up a new Windows 10 computer by first going into Backup and and saving a System Image of the boot drive to an external USB drive. Then, start the regular scheduled backup option on a schedule or on continuous settings.
If your boot drive needs replacing, just reboot from BIOS to the USB backup drive system image and do a restore to the new replacement drive.
