Hi John,
I've given it s good try, but the Missionary flight are simply not working out for me. The first flight looked promising but unfortunately the mesh in XP-12 put the little village and most of the runway on about a 45 degree angle. The second village "peanut" flight is not in the XP-12 data base. I've flown many of the flights in P3D in New Guinea using OBRX....no bueno in XP. Might give Australia and the OutBack this time.

That's too bad Smitty, as I'm sure you would have enjoyed the flights, but it's very frustrating when you fly somewhere and the destination is messed up in the scenery. These are out of the way airstrips that don't even always appear in Navigraph, but can be picked out of their satellite mapping and marked as waypoints.
I'm not familiar with Xplane scenery availability, but I think P3D and FSX had compatible scenery that would make these flights possible. I guess you can check future flights to ensure that the origin and destination airports are in your database - as that would likely ensure that the airfields are reasonably simulated.

I've checked the XP Scenery site and see that the number of contributions for airports in New Guinea are slowly increasing.Actually P3D/ ORBX had the best offering. I don't recall the Developers name but all of that excellent scenery was high quality and truly fun and challenging. Bush type flying wasn't high on the XP list but I think their new scenery project is changing that...we'll see.
