Aircraft names in PIREPs was created by rll2002ar
Hello !I noticed that the ‘’St. Paul Airlines Daily Flight Arrivals’’ in the homepage shows names of aircraft that are not listed in the selectable list of planes (Acft. Code:) in the PIREP formulary. How can you show in your PIREP an aircraft that is not listed in Acft. Code:? Up to now whenever I flew an aircraft that is not listed in Acft. Code: I used to select, to fulfill the PIREP, a one listed that I found similar to the plane I used. Example: Beech 1900D selected in Acft. Code: as equivalent to Embraer 110P1 or Beechcraft B99 Commuter. It will be much appreciated any help/tip on how to show in PIREP the plane that was actually used. Kindest regards to everyone out there!!!RafaelP.D.: As a newly pilot here I need to let everyone know my sincere admiration and applause for the makers and managers of St. Paul Airlines and its outstanding website,

Rafael,
The aircraft names you are seeing in the Daily Arrivals area that differ from the list you refer to are automatically entered by our custom ACARS program, SPAACARS. This program uploads your pirep to the site at the end of the flight, and it also shows your active flight on the flight map - link at the top left of our homepage. You can find the instructions for SPAACARS under INSTRUCTIONS on our main menu and the download for it under DOWNLOAD -> Enhancements->Utilities. Make sure you select the SPAACARS download for your simulator. For most it would be version 10-15, NOT the one that has FG in the file name. That's the one for Flightgear Simulator.
That listing you refer to is on the manual pirep entry page and must be updated with aircraft models manually - something that I haven't been trying to keep up with. If you don't see the aircraft type listed when filing manual pirep, then you can use the "Any" option in that dropdown list.

I've tried adding aircraft to this list and I just can't get them to work. Every time I add one, it never shows up on the dropdown list when you file a PIREP manually. That listing you refer to is on the manual pirep entry page and must be updated with aircraft models manually - something that I haven't been trying to keep up with.

The "add" button is only for submitting the pirep. Probably should be labeled "submit". The dropdown list of aircraft type cannot be edited on the front end. It has to be hardcoded on the server side. The Manual Pirep page is mostly original code from before I took over running the site.
