Not much thanksgiving for the MSFS A320Neo

Much to my dismay (and that of many other MSFS A320 fans), that latest 11-24 update appears to have done more harm than good - bringing back many of the old bugs while introducing even more enjoyment-killing bugs. The net result is that the plane is utterly unflyable at this point.

My hat is off to those diehard A320 fans who are struggling with the determination of an 737 Max pilot - unable to understand what the aircraft is doing or why. As the aircraft rapidly goes from controlled flight to uncontrolled chaos, they're flipping overhead switches off and on again, trying manual inputs, and all with similar success.

The latest changes have pretty much rendered the AP useless, as only the autothrottle continues to obey the AP. Even the heading mode fails to respond. I managed to fly the plane by hand to my last destination and then manually land the plane, but will not fly again until there are significant improvements - if only until the following update ruins it again.

Some of the aforementioned diehard A320 enthusiasts have even resorted to altering the deadzones of their controls to try and control the aircraft. I refuse to alter my controls what worked perfectly up to this point in order to accommodate a dysfunctional 11-24 patch.

I think I've finally found a group of developers who release software with even less testing than I do.

Here's the link for those who want to read the details:

Otherwise...happy flying, :heybaby:

It really is awful John. I had the same issues as you did after this latest patch. Autopilot was completely useless. Did not work at all and I too had to hand fly my last approach. Luckily it turned out really well (as I pat myself on my back) and the landing was smooth. I'm having a heck of a time this morning with other aircraft as well. It seems its an across the board issue and autopilot just isn't working at all on any aircraft I've tried.

I have also noticed that the aircraft are now seemingly very underpowered. Climbing to FL370 on my last flight with the A320 took FOREVER. Same thing is happening today with the Bonanza G36. Barely able to climb without stalling at only 100 FPM.

This is extremely agitating. Every time they patch this thing it gets worse. I don't know how they manage this but it seems like complete incompetence. I'm going to try like hell to complete this flight I've started in the Bonanza and then I'm switching back to FSX until this thing gets figured out. I'll test it out after they patch it again.

Edited to add that after I landed and parked at the gate, I could not shut down the plane! I did a shutdown and the engines kept running. Nothing I did would get the engines to shut down.. Also, there was no ground power and ATC also quit working after handing me off to the tower. Just stopped.

A total and complete mess.

Thanks for the additional information Eric, I hadn't tried the other planes and now I don't need to add to my frustration. Like you, I'm heading back to another sim - in my case P3Dv4, until they get things at least back to where they were before this latest patch. Very disappointing!

I try FS2020 every now and then. It always fails one way or another. Was flying with the C208 Caravan and about 75% of the flight was good. But for no reason apparent to me the sim just shut down. The should not have released this sim in a continuing beta. Back to the reliable X-Plane 11.

Did you delete it, or it went away on it's on? I wish I hadn't bought it, but maybe after a few it might be better.
