Pilots,

In an effort to correct the bug that occasionally caused incorrect flight hours to be calculated, I've released a new version of SPAACARS for FSX/P3D/MSFS.

I've also added a new version for FlightGear (2.6) that doesn't change any functionality, but sets an internal versioning to match the latest SPAACARS 10.9.

Pilots are encouraged to download the latest version and begin using it because in the near future I'll be making server-side changes that will require the latest versions of SPAACARs and SPAACARS-FG.

When you install the new version, you can just copy the new files over the old files, but remember that you will have to tell SPAACARS where your spa.ini file is again through the menu File->Change Company (ini) File. This will turn the ini indicator green and you only need to do this once when you install or reinstall SPAACARS.

Thanks,

John

Curious about the last flight I did. I have 10.9 but I may have not had the uni file correct. I did get a warning about the time.

Argh!

Thanks Ron...Yes, I'm thinking I might have messed something up with the time-checking that will require yet another version fix. I'm pretty sure I know what I did. On the plus-side, it's no likely to give outrageous flight hours anymore. I didn't get a chance to do a longer flight today for a test because of other projects, but I'll take another look and perhaps make yet another change for version 10.10. That has kind of a nice ring to it anyway

I,m flying a flight now in FS2020 with the new Piper Twin that was just added to the market. We'll see how SPA works this time. The ini file may have been incorrect , my error, during the last flight.

I don't think so. The ini file either works or not. It's not related to the time check. My overhaul of the time keeping would however. You can still alter the sim time during flight from the weather setting (cloud icon). You might have to convert time to GMT time so that the error message shows to match your sim time.

I've also noticed that the position updates might stop after an error message, but keep flying because the pirep will upload correctly at the end of the flight. Just an annoyance to have to reset sim time to match time shown in SPAACARS error message.

Probably have to discontinue this and fly it tomorrow with X-Plane. The aircraft will not hold altitude nor heading just walloes around laterally and vertically.
