Which Joystick

Hey all!

I've been thinking the last while about buying myself a new Joystick! I bought my current one about 19 months ago...it was the first one I bought and I kinda did it on the cheap...and its beginning to show! Any recommendations as to which would be a good, durable option! I'd be looking for one with force feedback, twist handle, all that kinda stuff! I was looking at the Saitek site ( ) there and they seem to have some decent stuff! i also had a look at some Logitech joysticks! if anyone has any experience with these companies...or can recommend any other i would greatly appreciate it...i'm fairly clueless when it comes to joysticks

Jerry got one of those nice Saitek joysticks with the dual throttle control....I hear he really likes it!

I do have the Saitek "AV8TOR" joystick...it has two throttles built into it.
I do like it, but it is too sensitive, and if you fly any 3 or 4 engine airplanes, the throttles must be re-assigned and then done again when you switch back to a two engine machine. Not a big hassle, but something you should be aware of.

Al...i had a quick look and those microsoft ones are expensive ...if you can find somewhere to buy it! I must say after seeing those saitek ones the logitech dont look quite so appealing! Jerry, i saw that one on the saitek site alright! the ones that really took my fancy were the X52 joystick www.saitek.com/uk/prod/x52.htm ! it has a seperate throttle control to the joystick! it was about £100 on the site (thats in sterling...sry not sure what conversion rates are at the moment) but i saw it on Amazon fo about £60...Thats a big diff!!!! being able to fly with your right hand and control throttle with your left hand like that seems mighty appealing

Hey TBONE; I use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Has a twist handle and the price is abour $40.00. HOWEVER...about a month ago I thought my old joystick{3dpro} was shot. Could not center it..almost everything was off. On there web site they have a "fix" that they say to download if your REG. is messed up. Downloaded it...ran it...and the old one works fine. I really like the joystick...

Jim, i tink if i went for a logitech thats prob the one i woould go for alright...sounds good (and have read ome good reviews) and it also quite affordable...which always helps!!
