I think that FSX navigation needs a lot of upgrading and something like the GTN750 would be worth considering.

I tried using my Foreflight app on my iPad and that works quite well. The subscription price could be a bit high for most, but it is supposed to work in the real cockpit. One can connect to FSX with it using a small download and install on your PC. Here is the link: www.flightsimgps.com/
